Both kidneys, with their piggyback adrenal glands, major blood vessels, ureters and the upper half of the bladder – opened to reveal its interior – are included. Blood vessels are color coded – red for arteries – blue veins.

One kidney has been sectioned open along its full length to exhibit its network of filtration and collection tubules. Ureters are made of flexible transparent plastic tubing.
